I am unable to keep my current plan. I am forced to purchase Maternity and newborn care. I am 63 and obviously I do not need that service. I am also mandated to purchase mental and chemical health services. I do not have need for these services either. I am mandated to purchase dental coverage for children under 19. I no longer have children under 19 – this one seems bizarre. Why do I have to subsidize all of these benefits that I do not need nor would I buy?
I tried to shop on MNSure but when I entered the effective date, I put in 01 or just one and each tie it changed t 10 not matter what I did. I decided to leave it at 10 and went to the day field, no luck there either every date I put in changed to 11 when I left the field. And the year filed would not accept any numbers. I gave up and so a day later I went to the site and none of the links work. I will not call anyone because I do not have any confidence that the “Navigators” could help me. I also feel that right now using the site is asking for identity theft issues.
The federal website has not worked at all for either, I just get the error page. So no shopping for prices. I am retired and I did plan on a slight increase but not this much. So I will have a higher priced policy and greater out of pocket expenses due to Obamacare.
