Rising health care costs were the major benefits package hangup. However once Obama care was passed the company decided it would have to move its manufacturing facilities outside the U.S. to keep its product prices in line with its competitors.
Our facility was closed, machinery was shipping off to Mexico and 2 production plants built in China. Now the company only has warehouse and distribution operations in the US. The company was born in USA and has 27 manufacting patents that made it an industry leader yet we were forced out.
I had great health insurance, optical and dental coverage, matching 401K, Vacation and sick pay.
Now I have 2 part time jobs with ZERO benfits… Thats for the Change 🙁
