Our insurance is a high deductible HSA, with 100% coverage after the deductible is reached. We chose a plan that met our needs and, although expensive, gave us peace of mind and a good safety net. Obamacare forced our insurance provider to include a host of services and coverage we do not want, need, and cannot afford. “You can keep your insurance” rings pretty hollow when the coverage is totally changed and the price is jacked up through the roof. On top of that, the amount we are able to contribute to our HSA per year has been drastically reduced, so now if we have to pay our deductible, it is no longer income tax-free.
