Obama DON’T care. The only people that benefit from this are welfare and jobless people. The people who have jobs and are working their asses off are the ones paying for the rest of the ————.
Where do I apply for my subsidy?
The reason for the increase is because of new requirements. Wonder what this could be? Haven’t heard this reason for increases before Obama care was rammed down our throats.
Higher premiums, higher deductibles, higher copays…
Everything is more expensive – Copays, deductibles and premiums.
Opting out
My wife and I are both self-employed and we currently purchase individual family insurance on the private market. Our current health plan is a high-deductible plan. This means that we accept more risk in trade for lower premiums. We just received our 2014 plan information from our current insurer. As expected, our old plan is […]
Ditto to Jessica of Minnesota
I’m self-employed and buy my own health insurance. My insurance company just informed me that my monthly premium is now increasing $55 a month and they’ve doubled my out-of-pocket deductible from $3,100 to $6,250 and I have a 30% co-pay to top it off! “Affordable Care Act,” my A$$! Affordable for who? I am so […]
This has hurt my family very much
With rising premiums and lowered benefits, I have substantially hurt my family financial situation. Obamacare has motivated my company to avoid the cadillac tax. We now have less disposable income to pay higher deductibles. I’m outraged.
Premium has doubled
I work for a school our family insurance policy offered through work is $1800 per month. We have two children and were forced to buy a family policy on our own. For the past year we had been paying around $425 per month for the family policy with a high deductable. Now we received a […]
No training for insurance agents
Minnesota has not trained any of the agents who have signed up to sell the Minnesota version of Obamacare. This plan goes into effect in 2 months. How do they think this will even work?
The University of Minnesota will be taxed $48 million if they don’t change our plan
My employer, University of Minnesota, will be charged $48 excise tax million because the government considers our healthcare plan a Cadillac plan. I’m including the email below from our vice president: Dear UPlan Members, Federal health care reform, known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), will fundamentally impact the way employers provide coverage to their […]
A disgusting loss of liberty, reduced coverage, higher premium
I am a self-employed male over 55 years of age. My health insurance consists of an HSA with a high deductible and out-of-pocket maximum to match; with 100% coverage after deductible/out-of-pocket is satisfied. I choose this type of healthcare because I believe insurance should be utilized to cover catastrophic events, while I remain personally responsible […]
Deductable Blew Up
My husband and I are a young married couple with hopes to start raising a family in the coming year. Our deductible in 2014 will go from $5,000 INCLUDING the 30% co-pay to $15,000 WITHOUT INCLUDING the 30% co-pay! How does Obama expect to generate more tax-payers in this country if they’re making it completely […]
Plan not available, rate increases 44.7%
I got a letter from HealthPartners saying my plan was no longer available, and that the new equivalent plan costs 1,148.12 monthly. My old plan cost $793.29 monthly. That’s an increase of $4257.96 per year.
I used to have the finest health care in the world
I used to be free to pick and choose. Now without a vote or a politician listening to me my whole world has been destroyed. I was one of the luckiest people in the world, I was born in the united states of America, because if I had been born elsewhere I would have been […]
ObamaCare is useless
I am a single mom with no help from dad with medical expenses! My premiums have went up over $100 a month and the deductible is expected to go up from $4,150 to over $12,000 for my son and I. How is anyone able to pay these outrageous costs. This is definitely NOT affordable healthcare […]
I don’t make enough now! How will I be able to pay for Ins. cost. It’s a house payment in my book!!!!!!!
My husband and I live on my income alone. There is no room for Health Insurance. If we get sick well then it’s in Gods Hands. Not anyone else’s. The cost of Insurance is a house payment in my book. We have survived 10 years with out it and we will be fine with out […]
Monthly, yearly rate increase
Sept 3rd, I received a 1 page notice about my plan rates for 2014 will be going up. The reasons stated were. 1. The cost of health care is going up. 2. There will be more people utilizing the health care system. Oct 6th I received my rate increases for 2014. In my mind, they […]
Premium up over $2500 per year
I just received notice from my insurance company that I have a grandfathered in plan so my current insurance as is complies with the new law but my premiunm is going up $215.00 per month or $2580.00 per year. I thought this was supposed to be the affordable care act. My plan is not a […]
From low risk group insurance to “pooled” risk group insurance
Our company has less than 50 employees and we have offered health insurance since the company began. We are rated the lowest risk and receive the lowest cost for our high deductible coverage. Now we will be pooled with everyone else and our premiums will go up between 35 and 50%. We haven’t seen the […]
NEW cost for JUST one person. Previous $ for 2 people
$240 MORE per year and it ONLY COVERS ONE PERSON instead of 2 as in the past! I move to Medicare. So now we spend more for one and then pay Medicare!! If Medicare costs me $200/month, then we’ll be spending almost… $5000 MORE PER YEAR!!!!
Grandfathered Plan no longer available
Small employer with grandfathered plan that carrier will no longer offer in 2014. Forced to select a bronze level plan and pass at least half of the 24% increase to my 14 employees who haven’t had a raise since 2008. The state department of insurance refuses to allow my carrier to offer my plan for […]
